The Greble Bridge

Many a Saturday stroll was taken in David-Horodok past the "fancy" houses on Greble Street to the Greble Bridge. Two houses on the street were owned by gentiles . The first, nearest the river on the left hand side, was owned by the judge for the town. The second was owned by the Monashke family, who were Polish Catholic. The father was a young macher in City hall whose sister was married to the head of the city administration. Anne Granader Spielberg’s house was the third one in from the Greble Bridge on the left side of the photo.
